Forty Fort Lube has opened up shop to service motorcycles on Mondays by appointment. Call one of our two locations and schedule an appointment for inspections, repairs, and other maintenance.

For those who aren’t fanatics like us, it’s still important to be aware of motorcycles on the road. Motorcyclists, bicyclists, and drivers can all share the road safely by following these tips:

Remember that bikes are smaller than cars, and they can sneak into blind spots without being noticed. Drivers, don’t rely on your mirrors alone. When merging, changing lanes, or turning, be sure to look all around you for cyclists. Bikers, help motor vehicle drivers spot you more easily by wearing bright colors or reflective material and keeping your lights on at all times of the day.

Drivers, don’t try to share a lane with a motorcycle. It is very unsafe to cram two vehicles into such a tight space. In the same vein, it is important that bikers do not weave in and out of lanes. If you need to pass someone, don’t try to squeeze between two lanes of cars. Use your mirrors and indicators when passing.

Remember that everyone is entitled to the road, as long as we share it safely. With rising temperatures, you’ll see a rising number of bikes on the road. To all drivers and cyclists, share the road safely!
